Hermeus is seeking a Dynamics Engineer to perform analysis, modeling, and testing to verify subsystem dynamics and control system performance for high-speed aircraft projects.
Requirements
- Conduct flight dynamics analysis and simulations to support design, development, and testing of aerospace systems
- Develop mathematical models and algorithms to characterize aircraft dynamics, subsystem dynamics, and vehicle control systems
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate flight dynamics solutions into overall system designs
- Drive integrated test efforts to validate system performance
- Support flight test activities and analyze flight data to validate models and assess performance
- Have a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience
- Have strong communication skills and ability to present technical information effectively
- Have background in atmospheric flight dynamics, controls, and hydraulic actuation systems analysis
- Have proficiency in Python and MATLAB/Simulink for data processing/analysis/visualization and simulation
- Have knowledge of FAA and Department of Defense aerospace standards regarding loads, flying qualities, and control system specification
- Be able to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance
