The National Mining Association (NMA) is seeking a full-time Associate General Counsel to develop and implement legal and regulatory strategies to achieve the organization's priorities. The role involves advocating for the mining industry before federal regulatory agencies, serving as a liaison to NMA members, and supporting the General Counsel in litigation matters.
Requirements
- Law degree required
- 5+ years of experience as legal counsel on Capitol Hill, the federal government, or at an industry association
- Knowledge of one or more of the following federal statutes preferred: the Clean Air Act, the Federal Land Policy and Management Act, National Environmental Policy Act, General Mining Law, Mineral Leasing Act, Federal Power Act, the Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act, and the Federal Mine Safety and Health Act
