Job Description
Heidi is an AI Care Partner focused on supporting clinicians, enabling them to complete their healthcare journey with confidence. They are looking for a Staff+ AI Scientist/Engineer to operate on the Orchestration team, responsible for design and delivery of a retrieval and question-answering stack. This role involves setting technical direction, establishing quality benchmarks, and executing projects with clear SLAs.
Requirements
- Staff-level track record shipping search, NLP, or LLM systems
- Mastery of Python and SQL
- Depth in modern IR/NLP (embeddings, ANN indexes, retrieval-augmented generation)
- Experience building data pipelines
- Familiarity with PyTorch
- MLOps and reliability
- Evidence of rigorous evaluation design
- Clear thinking on safety
- Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives
