Job Description
KMBC-TV is seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented Newscast Director for their Kansas City, MO broadcast. This role involves operating automated production systems, collaborating with producers and a wide range of staff, and ensuring high production values. The ideal candidate will be both technically skilled and creatively inclined.
Requirements
- 2+ years directing and technical directing a newscast
- Working knowledge of production switchers, audio boards, and studio equipment
- MOS and basic computer network understanding
- Understanding of newsroom systems ENPS and video playback systems
- Technical know-how to resolve existing issues and work around problems
- Flexible hours and shifts (including holidays and weekends)
- Military experience considered (related to newsroom operations)
