Surgical Technologist (CST), Methodist Hospital

Methodist Hospital is seeking a Surgical Tech (CST) to join their surgical team. The role involves practicing under the direction of a Registered Nurse in an autonomous and collegial manner, integrating clinical thinking, and gaining experience in Everyman cases, as well as potentially performing career-building courses for Specialist assignments. The position offers a rotation based on departmental needs and potentially full-time, 8-hour shifts.

Requirements

• Must be certified through one of the following Surgical Technologist Certification Programs (CST, NCCT, or NCCT certification)
• Practice under the direction of a Registered Nurse
• Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and equipment
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and sterilization
• Knowledge of age-related growth and development principles
• CPR proficiency (preferred)
