Job Description
The Health Federation of Philadelphia is seeking an Interpreter - Spanish to perform specialized work in the interpretation of statements between two or more persons conversing in English and a non-English language. The position involves establishing effective working relationships and inspiring the confidence of non-English speaking people.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required
- Knowledge of grammar and usage of Spanish and English
- Knowledge of colloquialisms and idiomatic expressions of Spanish
- Ability to translate routine correspondence into Spanish and from Spanish to English
- Ability to convey information, questions, and instruction in a manner understood by all persons involved
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with associates and the general public
