Behavior Aide - Autism

Through preventative measures and therapeutic interventions, the Behavior Aide helps ensure the physical, emotional, and psychological needs of the students are met in a safe and productive manner.

Requirements

• Two or more years of prior experience working with emotionally disturbed adolescents/children
• Working knowledge of crisis intervention skills and the medical and emergency procedures
• Ability to pass and utilize Crisis Prevention Intervention (C.P.I.) and/or Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Training (T.C.I.) within three months of employment
• Ability to pass and utilize First Aid and CPR Certification within three months of employment
• Valid California drivers license and a driving record acceptable to the Company's insurance carrier
• Dependent upon the client population, prior experience working with severely emotionally disturbed or handicapped students or students with Autism is preferred
• Must fulfill all requirements of employment, including clearance of all required background records (e.g. Department of Justice, Child Abuse, California Community Care Licensing, County Sanction List, etc.), professional, physical examination, and drug testing
