Senior Planning Engineer (Telecomm) - Oahu

We are seeking a Senior Planning Engineer (Telecomm) to join our team at Hawaiian Electric Companies. The successful candidate will have advanced knowledge of engineering principles and theories, as well as extensive experience in telecommunications system engineering and planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline
• 12 years of relevant experience in the design and planning of communication infrastructure and systems
• Professional Engineer Registration in State of Hawaii, Electrical Engineering
• Extensive knowledge of telecommunications planning principles
• Comprehensive knowledge of IP networking technologies
• Working knowledge of PUC, federal, state and local laws, regulations, standards, and procedures
• Working knowledge of electric utility's business and system operations
• Excellent written, oral, active listening, and presentation, analytical, organizational, and conceptual skills
