Intern, Multifamily

The internship program is for 10 weeks and is held in five different locations around the United States. You will have the exciting opportunity to live in a fully furnished apartment at the specified property, with all rent and utility expenses covered. Additionally, you can participate in internship events at our headquarters, with travel expenses fully covered.

Requirements

• Assist in leasing apartments
• Maintain a list of available apartments
• Respond to telephone inquiries
• Qualify prospects
• Show apartments
• Prepare all move-in paperwork
• Accurately input traffic numbers daily
• Participate in follow-up with prospective residents
• Assist with inspecting the apartment with the new resident
• Fill out move-in inspection forms
• Review all leasing paperwork and property rules
• Obtain knowledge in the management of renewals
• Tracking lease expirations
• Recording notices to vacate and interviewing residents for reasons
• Preparing lease expiration letters and renewal leases
• Collect and accurately process and report receipt of application fees, security deposits, rents, and other fees
• Accurately enter all prospect and resident data in MRI
• Comply with all Fair Housing regulations, Tax Compliance regulations, and other laws
• Plan and preparation of resident functions
• Walk the property for curb appeal and overall property appearance
• Record and act on resident service requests
• Answer the phone and communicate courteously and professionally with all customers
• Maintain professional dress and conduct at all times
• Keep files, desk, and leasing area organized
