Systems Engineer, Vehicle

Harbinger is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to define, develop, and verify vehicle-level system requirements for its next generation of electric commercial vehicles. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for translating business and customer needs into clear, testable technical specifications, ensuring that every subsystem integrates seamlessly into the overall vehicle architecture.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering within the automotive or related high-tech industry
• Deep understanding of systems engineering principles, including requirements management, traceability, and validation
• Familiar with industry standards such as ISO 26262 (functional safety), ASPICE, and other automotive quality frameworks
• Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, Polarion, Jama, etc.)
• Knowledge of software and digital communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, etc.) and their specifications
• Experience with hands-on device or subsystem testing and data analysis
• Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills
• Excellent communicator and collaborator with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-disciplinary environment
