Hajoca Corporation is a wholesale distributor of plumbing, heating & cooling, and industrial supplies. They are looking for a Counter Salesperson to join their team at the Green Art Plumbing Supply location in Southampton, NY.
Requirements
- 1+ years' experience in customer service or counter sales; contractor sales preferred
- Knowledge of products sold in the Profit Center
- Valid driver's license
- Demonstrate outstanding customer service, verbal communication, and listening skills
- Keep an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of products
- Be able to build and maintain a positive working relationship with customers, vendors, and co-workers
- Be able to ask probing questions to understand customer needs, overcome objections, and ask for the order
- Know of, be able to apply, and practice safety precautions in a warehouse and material handling environment
- Be able to learn to operate warehouse material-handling equipment and hand tools
- Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Be able to learn and operate the computer-related systems used to process orders
- Read, write, speak, and understand English
