Job Description
The Ophthalmic Tech is responsible for performing ophthalmic work up, tests, and procedures to support patient care, providing data to providers and assisting in routine office tasks. They demonstrate patient-centeredness, teamwork, and excellence in their duties, requiring self-motivation and flexibility. This role involves both office duties and assisting in the operating room.
Requirements
- Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) with two years ophthalmic assisting experience.
- LPN with home study completion within 6 months of employment.
- Surgery Technician Certified with OR experience (substitution possible with completion of home study and certification within 12 months).
- Completion of Ophthalmic Scribe Certification (OSC) within the first 3 weeks.
