Production Control III coordinates, analyzes, informs, and records the flow of material through manufacturing departments, communicates the overall health of the program, and ensures a quality product is delivered on time to the customer.
Requirements
- Communicate overall health of the program and any challenges to management
- Ensure the accuracy of the Bill of Material (BOM)
- Work with the Planning department to ensure the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is generating the proper schedule
- Manage overall project part shortages
- Work with Purchasing and Manufacturing exceptions
- Work with Engineering for drawing releases and design improvements
- Work with the Spares Department for pricing and lead times
- Review Material Review Board (MRB) and coordinate with the required departments to resolve the issue
- Confer with production personnel to resolve problems affecting production
- Improve lean product flow
- Inform shipping, warehouse, quality, and program management of project details
- Network with other Production Control employees on their team to find creative solutions
