Job Description
Granite State Manufacturing (GSM) is seeking a Class A Welder for a 2nd shift. The role involves fabricating and welding various metals, including sheet stock and heavy plates, utilizing various welding processes and hand tools. The position requires responsibility, adherence to safety standards, and teamwork.
Requirements
- Expert knowledge of military specification and AWS specifications.
- Knowledge of manufacturing principles, including the effect of pre/post machining on weldments.
- In-depth blueprint reading and understanding of weld symbols, machining requirements, and datums.
- Knowledge of NDT (Level II inspection knowledge)
- Ability to pass welder performance qualification tests.
- Experience with welding processes like GTA, GMA, and SMA.
- Experience operating manual vertical milling machines, saws, grinders, and overhead cranes.
