Network Exchange Administrator

GovCIO is hiring a Senior Network Administrator to manage secure network operations in support of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service Agency. The role requires significant on-site presence to ensure mission-critical network availability, security compliance, and performance optimization. The successful candidate will maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, plan and coordinate network/system security measures, and provide regular monitoring and analysis.

Requirements

• Establishes and maintains smooth operation of computer systems
• Maintains system integrity and upgrades systems and/or servers as required
• Creates and documents new methods supporting network/system operations
• Consults with support teams, help desks, customers, and other technical staff in the resolution of problems
• Coordinates and performs operation and/or maintenance activities for networks/servers
• Identifies recurring problems and recommends steps to reduce the severity or frequency of problems
• Plans for the transition of development and/or production environments to new technologies
• Utilizes system software to monitor the performance of system files
• Manages system data to maintain performance efficiencies
• Studies system requirements to determine proper server installation methods and procedures
