Staff Software Engineer, AI/ML GenAI, Google Cloud

Google is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to develop the next-generation technologies for their products, including large-scale software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, AI/ML, and technical leadership. The role involves designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing software solutions, as well as providing technical leadership on high-impact projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• 8 years of experience in software development
• 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products
• 3 years of experience with software design and architecture
• 5 years of experience leading ML design and optimizing ML infrastructure
• 2 years of experience with state of the art GenAI techniques
• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
• 8 years of experience with data structures/algorithms
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction
• 3 years of experience working in an organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects
