Job Description
Goodwill Southern New England is seeking a Truck Driver/Material Handler to perform routine driving, inspect transported goods, and handle material in retail operations. The position involves driving a truck safely, operating mobile phones, and ensuring safe handling of materials. Employees should be prepared for weekend and holiday hours, and may be required to lift heavy objects.
Requirements
- Drive truck with gross vehicle weight under 26,001 lbs.
- Verify truckloads against shipping memos and packing lists.
- Operate mobile phone and maintain regular communication with Warehouse Coordinator.
- Load and unload goods, assisting with moving materials.
- Maintain truck in a safe and working condition and perform pre and post trip inspections.
- Ensure proper operation of tow motor and hand trucks.
