Job Description
The Kitchen porter/Dishwasher is responsible for providing daily support to the kitchen team, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring adherence to DOHMH health code regulations. The role requires good customer service and communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to stoop, bend, lift and carry 50+ lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Food handler's Card or willingness to attend class safety
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Ability to keep dish room and equipment clean and organized
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends- with up to 48- 72 hour notice
- Ability to work well with a diverse group of staff
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in an organized, timely and hospitable manner
