Controller

Our client, a leader in zero-emission transportation solutions and advanced electric bus manufacturing, is seeking a highly skilled Controller to oversee the financial operations of its Pasadena location.

Requirements

• Oversee all daily accounting operations including AP/AR, GL, payroll, and cost accounting.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Develop internal management reports, KPIs, and dashboards for executive leadership.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
• Lead annual budgeting processes and ongoing financial forecasts.
• Conduct variance analyses and provide actionable insights to operations, supply chain, and leadership teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
• Oversee cost accounting for vehicle manufacturing and assembly operations.
• Maintain BOM accuracy, inventory valuation, and labor/overhead allocations.
• Support product costing initiatives and margin improvement projects.
• Strengthen and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.
• Work closely with auditors during external and internal audit processes.
• Ensure compliance with tax requirements and regulatory obligations.
• Manage and develop a small but high-performing accounting team.
• Partner with operations, supply chain, procurement, and HR on cross-functional initiatives.
• Support ERP improvements and data integrity across systems.
