Operator

We are seeking a Belt Picker who will be responsible for picking and sorting of scrap metal from the conveyor. The role offers excellent career progression opportunities and full on the job training. The ideal candidate will have the ability to learn quickly and accurately identify different types of metal, experience in scrap recycling, construction or manufacturing, and a positive mindset with a general willingness to learn.

Requirements

• Pick and sort scrap metals from running conveyor belt
• Remove contaminants to maintain the quality of materials
• Monitor the conveyor belt speed and functionality
• Notify maintenance or supervisors of any mechanical issues
• Adhere to workplace safety procedures
• Maintain cleanliness in the yard and operational areas
