Job Description
GetYourGuide is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join their growing, full-remote team. This role focuses on building, automating, and enhancing the cloud and container-based infrastructure, with a key responsibility of ensuring a reliable platform for running core services. The engineer will be responsible for managing Kubernetes clusters, AWS environment, and automation of cluster management with tools like Istio and Envoy. This position contributes to operational excellence and the company's mission to revolutionize the travel experience industry.
Requirements
- Experience with Kubernetes and running containers at scale
- Strong coding skills in at least one programming language (Go recommended)
- Good understanding of distributed systems, networking and container technology
- Sufficient grasp of public cloud environments like AWS
- Positive, proactive team player
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
