Geotechnical / Geological Engineer

Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity for a Geotechnical / Geological Engineer to join our geotechnical engineering and dam engineering practices in Canada, to be based in Waterloo, Ontario.

Requirements

• Task or project management, including planning and implementing investigation and remediation projects, budgeting and budget management, meeting project schedules, quality requirements and client expectations.
• Designing, managing, and performing geotechnical, geoenvironmental, civil, mining, and/or geological engineering field investigations including drilling, instrumentation, and construction quality assurance;
• Dam safety reviews for both mining and water dams;
• Working with numerical modeling software programs for stability, seepage and settlement/deformation analysis;
• Preparing and coordinating the integration of design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, construction cost estimates, reports, and permit applications;
• Dam breach and run out assessments;
• Deformation modeling.
