The Project Controls Analyst supports the Project Controls Manager and project teams by providing detailed cost tracking, change control support, and financial analysis for construction projects. This role is critical to improving cost visibility, forecasting accuracy, and financial discipline across projects.
Requirements
- Track and analyze project costs, budgets, and forecasts throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist with change order management, including log maintenance, pricing support, approval tracking, and financial impact analysis.
- Prepare monthly job cost reports, cost-to-complete analyses, and variance explanations.
- Support cash flow forecasting and earned value reporting.
- Reconcile project cost data between project management systems and accounting systems.
- Assist with WIP preparation and support timely monthly WIP reviews.
- Support project billings by validating cost data, percent complete, and approved change orders.
- Assist with monitoring project-level accounts receivable and collections status.
- Review project-level accounts payable activity to support accurate cost capture and cash flow visibility.
- Assist project managers with budget updates, forecast revisions, and financial performance reviews.
- Identify cost trends, risks, and anomalies and escalate concerns to the Project Controls Manager.
- Support month-end close activities related to job costs and project financials.
- Maintain accurate and organized project financial documentation.
- Assist with audits, internal reviews, and management reporting as required.
