Job Description
Join our Vehicle Mechatronic Embedded Controls (VMEC) team as a Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Specialist and play a key role in delivering world-class customer-facing features across GM’s portfolio of electric, internal combustion, and autonomous vehicles.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics, Software, Electrical, Computer Engineering or in a related field
- Minimum 2 years of embedded software development and testing experience
- Proficiency in reading and debugging C/C++ source code
- Proficiency with Python or similar scripting languages (R, C, VBA, etc.)
- Practical knowledge of DevOps CI/CD concepts
- Experience with automation servers such as Jenkins
- Basic knowledge of controls theory and the software development process
- Familiarity with software configuration management processes (e.g., GitHub, SVN)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and work independently
- High level of interpersonal skills for effective collaboration in a geographically dispersed team
- Legal authorization to work in Canada and ability to travel to the US
