Machinist IV

Machinist IV position at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. responsible for performing complex machine tool functions, including setting up and operating various types of lathes, mills, and grinders, and providing guidance or training to lower-level machinists.

Requirements

• Plans sequence of machine operation as required
• Reviews engineering drawings and computes angular and linear dimensions
• Sets up tooling and production stock to be machined using CNC machining equipment
• Performs preventive maintenance and makes machine adjustments as required
