2026 Summer Intern - Computational Sciences Center of Excellence

2026 Summer Intern - Computational Sciences Center of Excellence: Design, prototype, and evaluate an AI agent solution to replace traditional user interfaces across therapeutic drug discovery workflows. The goal is to make it more intuitive and straightforward for our scientists to collaborate on the design-build-test-learn loop and thus find lead drug candidates faster.

Requirements

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree (enrolled student)
• Required major: Computer Science, Bioengineering, or related field
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python) with significant prior experience in developing robust software/scripting solutions
• Foundational knowledge and hands-on experience with AI: including agent frameworks, Large Language Models (LLMs), or Natural Language Processing (NLP) toolkits
• Experience retrieving data from informatics platforms and datastores: demonstrated proficiency in retrieving and integrating data using various methods, including MCP, REST, and querying databases with SQL
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills and a growth mindset: demonstrated by tackling complex, ambiguous technical challenges
