GEA Group is seeking a Field Service Technician to join their team. The role involves supervising the start-up of product lines, performing maintenance procedures, providing warranty work, and offering advanced technical support. The position requires a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for customer service.
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
- Technical school certification in refrigeration or similar field preferred
- 2+ years of experience with industrial refrigeration equipment
- RETA CARO or CIRO Certification preferred
- Capable of reading P&IDs and electrical schematics
- Knowledge of the refrigeration cycle and major components
- Advanced working knowledge of electrical systems and control schemes
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to problem-solve and resolve issues
- Excellent time management skills
- Must be a self-starter and driven
- Physical ability to perform tasks (e.g., lifting 75lbs, maneuvering in small spaces)
- Ability to travel up to 90%
- Must possess a valid driver's license and good driving record
