Promote, monitor, enforce, advise and ensure continual safety & health implementation in compliance with legal, OSH Management System and organizational requirements.
Requirements
- Implement and enforce comprehensive safety and health policies, procedures, regulations, and instructions
- Maintain safe work conditions consistently throughout the project's lifecycle
- Conduct practical safety training programs
- Supervise and mentor workers proactively
- Lead accident and incident investigations
- Perform daily workplace safety inspections
- Conduct hazard assessments
- Compile, analyze, and report safety performance data and statistics
- Oversee and ensure subcontractors adhere to all safety and health regulations and organizational standards
- Review and regulate issuance of Permits to Work and task statements
- Foster a safety-first culture
- Issue observations, nonconformance reports, or Stop Work Orders as necessary
- Authorize temporary cessation of operations
- Maintain and update safety procedures and systems
- Regularly identify emerging safety risks and implement proactive controls
- Organize and lead regular emergency preparedness drills
- Maintain first aid facilities and ensure the presence and training of qualified first aid personnel
- Collaborate closely with site and project management teams
- Ensure availability, proper use, and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Champion open communication channels
- Advocate for health and wellness initiatives
- Stay current with local, national, and international safety regulations and best practices
