The Dean of the Faculty oversees multiple academic units and programs, including the five Schools, the General Education Program, the Honors Program, and the Office of Sponsored Programs. The Dean serves as a role model, chief spokesperson, and advocate for the programs and services to all constituents, including current and prospective faculty, staff, and students. The Dean provides long-range strategic planning and direction to the academic programs and policies, and establishes an overall climate in which shared governance thrives.
