The Counselor provides direct counseling services, consultation, and case management to Furman University students, and participates in the Center's after-hours on-call rotation.
Requirements
- Master's degree in mental health counseling, clinical social work, or psychology
- 1-3 years of experience in a related field
- Licensed for independent practice as a mental health professional
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Commitment to issues of diversity
- Substantial experience working with diverse populations
- Ability to work collaboratively with various units and committees
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Conflict resolution and mediation skills
- Problem-solving, multi-tasking, and leadership skills
