Counselor

The Counselor provides direct counseling services, consultation, and case management to Furman University students, and participates in the Center's after-hours on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Master's degree in mental health counseling, clinical social work, or psychology
• 1-3 years of experience in a related field
• Licensed for independent practice as a mental health professional
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Commitment to issues of diversity
• Substantial experience working with diverse populations
• Ability to work collaboratively with various units and committees
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Conflict resolution and mediation skills
• Problem-solving, multi-tasking, and leadership skills
