Job Description
Frontier Technology Inc. (FTI) is seeking a Distinguished Software Engineering Lead to serve as both an architect and integrator for mission-critical software and data platforms. This role involves providing technical vision, architectural oversight, and mentoring to ensure scalable, secure, and modernized solutions are delivered within the Defense and Intelligence Community. The position requires strong leadership and collaboration skills to align platform design with strategic innovation goals.
Requirements
- Architect and deploy secure, distributed platforms.
- Design and integrate APIs, data pipelines, and microservice-based systems.
- Engineer solutions in AWS GovCloud or hybrid IL4–IL6 environments with strong security and compliance standards.
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code for consistent provisioning and configuration management.
- Design or operate large-scale data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration environments.
- Engineer architectures for redundancy, cross-domain integration, and resilience.
- Lead through technical authority, design clarity, and mentorship.
- Mentor software engineers and architects across teams
- Collaborate with other Distinguished Engineers, Product Management, and Business Development
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly
