Friona Industries is seeking a Pen Rider to maintain the health and welfare of cattle in their feedyard. This role involves daily observation, reporting of health concerns, proper animal handling, and adherence to company standards. The Pen Rider serves as a liaison between the feedyard and the cattle manager, ensuring the welfare of livestock and contributing to overall feedyard team success.

Requirements

• Adhere to Beef Quality Assurance standards and procedures
• Observe livestock daily to recognize and report sick cattle
• Inspect water and watering system
• Assist in shipment and movement of cattle
• Maintain horses, tack, and facilities
• Observe and record stiff and prolapsed cattle
• Ride and handle horses safely
• Continuous observation of animal health
