Friendship Public Charter School is seeking a Paraprofessional to join their team for the 2025-2026 school year. The Paraprofessional will assist teachers in creating a welcoming and positive learning environment, lead students to high levels of academic success, and work with colleagues to collect data and support students' individualized plans.
Requirements
- Set and maintain high academic and behavioral expectations for all students
- Lead students to high levels of academic success in an urban school environment
- Create a welcoming, positive learning environment that motivates and engages students
- Provide in-person classroom assistance to teachers or assist a virtual teacher with conducting classroom activities
- Work in concert with colleagues to collect informal and formal data of students to assist with grouping and individualized support plans
- Provide one-on-one tutoring, credit recovery, and academic support to students
- Operate technology to include cameras, learning platforms, and learning tools
- Help maintain order and discipline and assist in managing the behavior of students
- Perform administrative and non-instructional duties, such as keeping daily attendance and implementing safety protocols
