Job Description
The Fremont Farms of Iowa is seeking a Farm Maintenance Technician to perform preventative and routine maintenance of various farm equipment and systems. This role involves monitoring equipment, ensuring building and equipment upkeep, and communication with the Farm Maintenance Supervisor. The position requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to safe and humane treatment of all animals.
Requirements
- Mechanical, electrical, metal working, and plumbing knowledge
- Valid drivers license
- Ability to operate forklift, wheel loaders, skid loaders, tractors, trucks
- Ability to read, understand and effectively communicate information
- Basic computer/I-pad skills
- Ability to read, understand and effectively communicate information through writing and speaking
- Independent Self Starter/Team Player
- Attention to detail / organized
- Able to trouble shoot problems
- Fine motor skills and ability to lift 75 lbs
