Gas Controller

FortisBC is seeking a Gas Controller to monitor pipeline data, ensuring safe and efficient operation of pipelines. This is a full-time, regular position with no overtime and flexibility to work shifts, weekends, or holidays. The role focuses on pipeline flow management, data analysis, and reporting, with a key emphasis on identifying potential problems and coordinating responses. This position is essential for ensuring reliable customer service and optimizing gas sales.

Requirements

• Diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution or completion of a Red Seal Journeyman Trade.
• Five (5) years of directly related experience in pipeline operations, plant operations, field instrumentation, or pipeline hydraulics planning.
• Computer systems knowledge and familiarity with SAP and MS Office applications.
• Mechanical aptitude and knowledge in pipeline hydraulics, gas processes, and related field equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to prioritize workload under pressure.
