Forest Technician

Forsite Consultants Ltd. is a leading provider of integrated forest land development and management services. The company is looking for a Forest Technician to join their Operations Team based out of Fredericton, NB. The job involves supporting the forest management team in implementing harvesting and silviculture prescriptions, assisting in log sales and marketing, and creating forest management/operating plans.

Requirements

• Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline
• Experience in operational planning, including block and road layout, harvest prescriptions (including non-clearcut), harvest supervision, timber cruising, field assessments, etc.
• Experience in creating and implementing Forest Management Plans
• Proficient with forestry related software, GIS and Microsoft Office
• A valid driver's license and safe driving record
