Job Description
Formlabs is seeking a Senior Product Design Engineer to join their R&D team. This role involves research, development, and implementation of new products in 3D printing technology. The position requires cross-functional collaboration, systems thinking, prototyping, and partnership with design engineers to produce finished designs.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on, mechatronic product design experience
- Experience with cross-disciplinary hardware prototyping
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision making
- Working knowledge of material properties of plastics, metals, and adhesives
- Testing and analysis experience with a focus on hands-on testing
- Knowledge of high-volume manufacturing techniques
- Statistical tolerance analysis experience for precision mechanical design
