Job Description
Formlabs is seeking a Robotic Systems Integration Engineer to support the full product development cycle, from R+D to shipped products. The role involves collaborating with design teams, defining control algorithms, and debugging system-level issues, utilizing experience with electro-mechanical systems, robotics, and sensor integration. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of hardware and software integration within a 3D printing ecosystem.
Requirements
- Previous experience (3+ years) designing complex electro-mechanical systems or robotic systems
- Knowledge of motion control, sensors, and control algorithms
- Experience managing system and subsystem requirements
- Comfortable working across engineering disciplines - from mechanical design to electrical engineering to embedded software
- Experience debugging system level issues
- Comfortable working on Linux systems and scripting with Python
- Knowledge of low-level embedded firmware (C++ preferred)
- Experience in data analysis and reporting
- Experience with consumer electronics and 3D printing
