Fora is seeking a highly motivated Legal Counsel to join its Legal Team to advise on complex commercial issues, governance, corporate transactions, and other issues. The role is a strategic, hands-on position in a high-growth technology environment reporting to the General Counsel.
Requirements
- 5-7+ years of relevant legal experience in a law firm and in-house legal department in a startup, technology, or other dynamic environment
- J.D. and admission in good standing in New York
- Strong drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills, with experience across a broad range of commercial agreements, including SaaS, vendor, and partnerships agreements
- Business-minded, with the ability to operate independently in ambiguity and exercise sound judgment, think creatively through complex issues, balance legal and business risk, and escalate appropriately
- Clear, effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build trusted relationships
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, cross-functional workflows, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Enthusiastic with proven track record of learning quickly, taking initiative, resourcefulness, and willingness to step in where needed to fill gaps
- Ability to work in the U.S.
