Team Leader

The Team Leader is responsible for overseeing daily activities within assigned cottages as directed by the Unit Supervisor. This role involves supervision of program staff, performance documentation, and ensuring the continuity of care, as well as contributing to a safe and supportive environment. The position requires knowledge of prevention of sexual abuse and trauma-informed care.

Requirements

• Acquire, maintain, teach, and demonstrate knowledge of Prevention of Sexual Abuse (PSA) and Sexual Harassment standards.
• Demonstrate effective and consistent Therapeutic Crisis Intervention.
• Maintain vigilant supervision of youth placed in 24/7 care.
• Actively engage and encourage youth towards their treatment goals.
• Regularly transport youth to appointments, recreation activities, court, family visits, etc.
• Prepare timely and accurate documentation.
• Understand and retain instructions for complex tasks.
• Sets clear, measurable and specific goals for assigned staff.
• Provides specific performance feedback.
• Maintains a professional environment.
• Must be bilingual (English/Spanish).
