Manager, Software Engineering

As the Engineering Manager for Flexera’s Platform Engineering team, you will drive strategy and roadmap deliveries across the full stack of our applications, solving real and challenging industry problems for our customers.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a managerial role
• Experience in Full-stack software development
• Extensive experience developing backend micro-services and applications
• Hands-on experience with Go programming language
• Experience deploying and troubleshooting with Kubernetes on AWS and/or Azure cloud environments
• Proficient in using AI tools like GitHub Copilot to accelerate development activities
• Good understanding of SQL database design
• Ability to reason about software, algorithms, and performance from a high level
• Strong communication skills to work within and across teams
• Experience planning, tracking, delivering, and managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience operating services at scale with observability and reporting on engineering metrics
