Five Rivers IT is seeking a Platform Engineer to manage and optimize AWS and Azure environments across Linux platforms. This role involves troubleshooting systems, managing deployments, automating processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both Windows and Linux administration and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Requirements

• Managing AWS/Azure cloud infrastructure supporting both Windows and Linux-based workloads
• Root cause identification and remediation of security/system alerts across Windows and Linux environments
• Performing server and network troubleshooting using both PowerShell/GUI tools and Linux command-line utilities
• Implementing and following change control processes for multi-platform infrastructure modifications
• Working on automation projects spanning Windows and Linux environments
• Participate in an on-call rotation schedule for off-hours escalations
• Proficiency in PowerShell and Bash/Python for Linux scripting
• Experience with Docker, Windows Containers, and Infrastructure as Code tools
• Strong understanding of cross-platform networking, operating systems, and protocols
