Sustainability Analyst

FirstEnergy is seeking a Sustainability Analyst to join the Corporate Responsibility (CR) team. This role involves leading efforts to enhance FirstEnergy’s CR Report and related disclosures, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and strategic alignment. The position reports to the Manager, Corporate Responsibility and will contribute to the development of the company’s environmental, social, governance, and climate related narrative.

Requirements

• Lead the development and publication of the annual CR Report, including project planning, stakeholder engagement, and strategic content development.
• Lead the company’s third-party ESG ratings response efforts for various rating organization and framework reporting efforts (CDP, MSCI, Sustainalytics, GRESB, EEI, GRI, SASB, and IISB).
• Conduct gap analyses of FirstEnergy’s disclosures and initiatives and make suggestions to team leadership on opportunities to work with business units.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to lead complex initiatives from concept to completion.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Demonstrates a strategic mindset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Word.
