KSBW 8 News in Salinas, CA is seeking a highly energetic and skilled Meteorologist to join their weather team. This role requires a strong science background, a captivating weather story, and a commitment to providing accurate forecasts and community involvement. The ideal candidate will have experience with multiple weather systems, technology, and exceptional communication skills.
Requirements
- Professional or schooling on-air experience handling breaking news and severe weather coverage
- In-depth knowledge of weather science and forecasting
- Dynamic on-air presence with a conversational weather presentation
- Experience with common television weather systems
- Experience with live field reporting on weather and other topics
- NWA and CBM seals a plus
- Related military experience will be considered
- Bilingual a Plus
