Maintenance Technician II

Fairfield is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to perform daily maintenance tasks, diagnose and repair issues, and prepare vacant apartments for new residents. The role requires a high school diploma, one year of experience in property management maintenance, and strong attention to detail and customer service skills.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Valid Driver’s License may be required
• Minimum one year of previous experience in property management maintenance, other building maintenance, or related trade required
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
• General computer skills, including operating a mobile device
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
• Superior customer service skills, including the ability to manage difficult customers and situations
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair
• Professional verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to be on-call for after-hours emergencies
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
