Job Description
We are seeking a Vehicle Mechanical Engineer with a fundamental interest and knowledge base in the automotive field for our Vehicle Engineering Practice and Test Engineering Center in Phoenix, AZ. In this role, you will work as part of an accident reconstruction and testing team supporting technical analyses of transportation accidents, mechanical failure evaluations, and assessments of vehicle safety systems including restraints and Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS).
Requirements
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- P.E. license or the willingness to obtain a P.E. license
- Presently legally authorized to work in the United States; no immigration sponsorship or processing required
- Advanced knowledge of dynamics and mechanical design experience in vehicle dynamics and/or crashworthiness preferred
- Interest in automotive systems such as vehicle communication networks, chassis systems, or Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS)
- Attention to detail and dedication to quality and accuracy
- Experience with CAD software, and analytical and simulation tools desired
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Clear written communication and technical writing skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to synthesize and present technical information
