Thermal Sciences Associate (Ph.D.)

Exponent is seeking a Thermal Sciences Associate to join their team in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in a related field and experience in thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and combustion. Responsibilities include researching, parsing data, performing experiments, and analyzing complex data.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field
• Presently legally authorized to work in the United States
• A practical and theoretical understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and combustion
• Hands-on experience developing and performing laboratory or field experiments in the areas of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer or combustion
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
