Job Description
Exponent is seeking a Mechanical/Structural Engineer with a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Structural/Civil Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, or similar fields. The ideal candidate will have specialized knowledge in solid mechanics, structural mechanics, uncertainty quantification/probabilistic mechanics, computational mechanics, and fracture mechanics.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Structural/Civil Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, or similar fields
- Specialized knowledge in solid mechanics, structural mechanics, uncertainty quantification/probabilistic mechanics, computational mechanics, and fracture mechanics
- Working knowledge of computational platforms, such as commercial finite element environments and associated numerical analysis tools
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Excellent project ownership and initiative characteristics
- Ability to work independently and within project teams with a strong desire to contribute
Benefits

- Base salary range $131,000.00 - $155,000.00 /Yr.
