Job Description
W Wabtec is seeking a Transducer Design Engineer to support new product development and sustainment. The role involves designing and testing new ultrasonic probes and scanners, collaborating with engineering teams, and contributing to FMEA and PFMEA processes. This position requires strong CAD skills and a desire to innovate.
Requirements
- 2 + years in research and design or manufacturing environment
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or equivalent engineering
- Basic understanding of piezeoelectricity and ultrasonic transducer design
- Proficiency with 3D modeling software (Solidworks preferred)
- Experience in eddy current, single element, or phased array product design
- Understanding of Six Sigma and lean manufacturing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
