The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) is seeking a Director, Staffing to lead the talent recruitment, retention, promotion processes. This is a full-time, regular, hybrid position with responsibilities in the Lutheran Center office and remote work opportunities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant Human Resources experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles
- Experience with leading trainings and orientations or other relevant sessions
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment
- Experience with Paylocity or other HRIS and the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems
- Minimum Technical Competency: Computer knowledge that enables you to operate a Windows Computer and follow basic troubleshooting instructions
- Software skills to efficiently use computer programs and applications
- Ability to leverage computer knowledge and software skills to understand new software, follow process, and identify opportunities for improvement
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, etc.) preferred
